One story you might have missed last month during the BMW Championship at Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest, Illinois is now “on-display” in Colorado. To kick off the BMW Championship Pro-Am, many of you saw Rory McIlroy arriving to the tee in a one-of-a-kind BMW M760i, made exclusively for the event. Rory delivered the car to his playing partner in the Pro-Am, none other than Bruce Deifik of Denver.
Bruce earned this distinction by being the lucky purchaser of the exclusive M760i. In addition to the car, Bruce received the honor of competing in the Pro-Am with McIlroy, last year’s FedEx Champion and Tour Championship winner. McIlroy delivered the car, to Bruce’s surprise, up the 1st fairway to the tee box. As McIlroy showed off the car to Bruce he also autographed the front driver and passenger doors.
“Gregg Randolph at Winslow BMW brought the unique opportunity to my attention only a few days prior to the BMW Championship”, Deifik shared by phone. He continued, “the BMW staff are truly wonderful people, and their follow-up was world-class”. Despite being unable to attend the pairing party which was held at Wrigley Field, Bruce arrived in Chicago the night before the Pro-Am, and had a great experience playing Conway Farms. “Rory McIlroy is as good as advertised, I have no idea how he generates the torque he does on his swing. Not to mention what a wonderful young man he is, I can’t say enough about him.”
Bruce, a life-long BMW customer is the Founder and CEO of Integrated Properties based in Denver. Bruce bought his first BMW, “a manual 320i with a hand-crank sun-roof from Co’s BMW in Greeley, shortly after my wife and I relocated to Colorado in the late 70’s.”
The vehicle Bruce purchased this time is one-of-a-kind BMW M760i xDrive, in Frozen White, with a V12 engine delivering 601 Horsepower. According to BMW it is the quickest 7 Series model they have ever made. The 760 arrived in Colorado Springs last week and Bruce graciously allowed for the car to be on display at Winslow BMW in Colorado Springs. Eventually he will get to enjoy a truly “Ultimate Driving Machine” with a unique story that few golf fans can share.

Nationally since 2007, the BMW Championship has donated more than $26 million to the Evans Scholars Foundation the beneficiary of the annual FedEx Cup event. In 2014 the BMW Championship held at Cherry Hills Country Club raised record funds for the Scholarship and was recognized as the 2014 PGA Tour “Tournament of the Year”. That funding annually helps provide Evans Scholarships to hundreds of deserving, hard-working caddies who qualify for this life-changing gift. Since 2012, the CGA has produced 11 Evans Scholars at the University of Colorado in Boulder. In 2017 there are 62 scholars at the University of Colorado and 935 scholars nationally.
