Opened in 1999, the Broadlands features a 7,263- yard course from the longest tees. With a course rating of 72.9, it is consistently one of the best rated courses in Broomfield. The course is enjoyable for players of all skill levels and offers everyone the chance to improve their game. Broadlands offers a fully accredited USGA golf club that is, “dedicated to enjoyable tournament play for golfers of all abilities.” The club’s weekend tournament play allows members to play in a variety of formats in a completive, but friendly environment.
Broadlands offers a variety of leagues and clubs for golfers. On Tuesdays, there is a weekly senior game starting first Tuesday in April and goes through the last Tuesday in October. The league is open to players 50 and over with a valid USGA handicap. The Ladies 9-Hole league is played on Wednesday evenings beginning the first Wednesday in May and continues weekly through August. It is open to all levels, including new players. The later tee time gives working women the perfect opportunity to participate without disrupting their work schedule. There is also a Ladies 18- hole league with weekly Monday morning games from April to Mid- October. In the summer, Broadlands offers “Nine and Wine” events where golfers can enjoy wine and appetizers after 9 holes of non-competitive play. There is also an 18- hole Foot Golf course uses the front 9 of the regulation course. This is available any day of the week after 3:00 pm.
Broadlands offers instruction for anyone looking to improve their game, led by Head Professional Tim Schwartz. He uses video analysis to personalize his lessons to the unique needs of each individual golfer. On Tuesday nights beginning in April, Tim Schwartz offers Ladies Night Clinics. All facets of the game are taught, including: full swing, short game, rules, and etiquette and there is on- course instruction on the last Tuesday of each month. Broadlands Junior Golf Academy teaches kids of all ages about golf while having fun. It offers, “instruction that will cover a variety of golf related topics including: full swing technique, importance of short game and putting practice” while emphasizing sportsmanship, ability, and attitude. Their junior program is designed to provide an exciting environment to develop a love for the game in young players. They offer a Basic boot camp and a new Intermediate/Advanced Camp.
