Colorado Golf Hall of Famer Brandt Jobe celebrated Easter Sunday by matching his best finish ever on the PGA Tour Champions circuit.
Jobe, who lived in Colorado from 1970-99, shared third place Sunday in the Mitsubishi Electric Classic in Duluth, Ga.
A winner of one Colorado Open, three CGA Match Plays and one CGA Amateur, Jobe posted rounds of 68-68-70 for a 10-under-par 206 total. He ended up five strokes behind winner Stephen Ames and one behind runner-up Bernhard Langer.
In Sunday’s closing round, Jobe made an eagle and 17 pars. In the first two rounds combined, he’d carded a dozen birdies.
Jobe has previously finished third twice on PGA Tour Champions — at the Senior PGA Championship and the Dominion Charity Classic, both last year. He’s notched eight top-10 showings in his Champions career.
