Former Colorado State University golfers Zahkai Brown of Golden and Parker Edens of Greeley both posted top-four finishes in a Dreamchasers Pro Golf Tour major that ended on Thursday in Mesa, Ariz.
Brown, the 2013 CoBank Colorado Open champion, was runner-up for the second time in three weeks and Edens tied for fourth in the 60-player tournament at Longbow Golf Club.
In shooting rounds of 66-65-66 for a 16-under-par 197 total, Brown (pictured) has now gone 51 under par for his last nine rounds on the Dreamchasers Tour, placing second, fourth and second. This time around, Brown eagled his final hole and ended up two strokes back of winner Ryan Williams of Phoenix, who shot a second-round 60.
Over the three-round tournament, Brown chalked up two eagles, 16 birdies and four bogeys. He earned $4,250, pushing his 2017 Dreamchasers money total to $10,913, good for second place behind Williams’ $12,081.
Edens, meanwhile, posted a 9-under 204 total after rounds of 68-66-70, good for $2,400.
