Tiffany Maurycy of Denver finished 52nd in the stroke-play portion of the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur on Sunday and landed a spot in the 64-player match play bracket at The Kahkwa Club in Erie, Pa.
Maurycy, who finished second in the Colorado-based qualifier for the national championship, shot a 6-over-par 78 on Sunday, leaving her at 16-over 160. She made one birdie and seven bogeys in round 2. Maurycy will begin match play on Monday.
Meanwhile, fellow Coloradans Janet Moore and Susie Roh missed a playoff for the final match play spots by three strokes, finishing at 165.
