Fourteen more players, including one Coloradan, qualified Monday for the CoBank Colorado Open, completing the field for this week’s $250,000 tournament at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club in northeast Denver.
Andrew Presley of Fort Worth, Texas earned medalist honors in the fourth and final Colorado Open qualifier by shooting a 9-under-par 63 and matching the tournament course record at Legacy Ridge Golf Course in Westminster. Presley carded an eagle and seven birdies in a bogey-free day.
Also among the qualifiers was Bryan Kruse of Westminster, who tied for eighth place with a 4-under-par 68 that included six birdies.
Others who advanced to the Open from Monday’s qualifier were William Kropp of Edmond, Okla. (65), Phil Reedy of Las Vegas, Nev. (66), Matt Picanso of Bakersfield, Calif. (66), Jimmy Beck of Columbus, Ga. (67), Ben Suarez of Longville, La. (67), Kevin Tucker of Kennewick, Wash. (67), Justin Bates of Lewisville, Texas (68), Brian Rowell of Broussard, La. (68), Joe Migdal of Ballwin, Mo. (68), Tyler Gann of Tomball, Texas (68), Sean Romero of Texarkana, Texas (68) and Michael McCabe of Moorpark, Calif. (69).
