39th Colorado Cup Matches
The professionals won the men’s open and men’s senior division titles, while the women amateurs scored a convincing victory in the 39th annual Colorado Cup matches held Wednesday and Thursday at Hiwan Golf Club.
The professionals prevailed 10½-7½ over the two days of the men’s open competition, and posted an 11-7 victory in the men’s senior division. But the amateurs routed the pros in the women’s matches 8½ -½ .
The amateurs have won the women’s title all five years the competition has been held. The pros have claimed the last four men’s senior division championships. Pros and amateurs have split the last four men’s open titles.
