The team of Shawn Watts (CC at Castle Pines) and John Warkentin (Inverness Hotel & GC) fired a 64 in the final round to earn a one-stoke victory in the CGA Net Four-Ball Championship at Deer Creek Golf Club at Meadow Ranch. Watts and Warkentin had taken the lead with a first round score of 63, and took the title at 127. Second place was captured by the team of Rick Donovan and Christopher John playing on their home course. Donovan and John carded back-to-back 64’s to finish one stroke behind the winners at 128. Glynn Hopkins (Pinery CC) and Val Walker (Littleton GC) also shot 64 in the final round to finish third at 129.
In the Senior Division, Lowell Hegg and William Peterson of The Ranch CC shot 65 on both days of the event to earn a one-stroke victory at 130. Three teams finished tied for second at 131 including Lenard Ashford (Meadow Hills GC) and Dutch DenBleyker (Deer Creek GC), Larry Ayers and Alan Linton (Fox Hill CC), and Mike Lyons and Mike Mullins (Inverness Hotel & GC).
