The team of Rick Larson of Saddle Rock Golf Course and Jon Lindstrom of Murphy Creek Golf Course (pictured right) fired back to back 64’s for a 128 and a one-stroke victory in the CGA Four-Ball Championship at Wellshire Golf Course. Dean Clapp and Kevin Walden of Meadow Hills Golf Course took second at 129, one stroke in front of third place finishers Sean Forey and Scott Radcliffe of Rolling Hills Country Club.
In the Senior Division, there was a three-way tie for the title at 128, and all three teams went to a sudden death playoff. Jerry Kidney of Overland Park Golf Course rolled in an eagle putt on the first playoff hole to win the title with partner Les Mattocks (pictured above). Patrick Almdale of Hyland Hills Golf Course and Grant Maples Jr. of Meridian Golf Club tied for second with the third playoff team of Jim Brown and Dave Schey of Fox Hill Country Club.
